Kobido at home in Paris: who it's for, why, how it works

29 July 2026 - The treatment ritual

A home Kobido session is for anyone who would rather receive the treatment in their own surroundings than travel to the studio — for practical reasons, family logistics, work pressure, or simply for comfort. I offer this service across Paris, with a natural priority for the arrondissements close to my Paris 17 studio, as well as in Neuilly-sur-Seine and Levallois-Perret, and on select dates from my Milan studio in Navigli. Here is exactly who this format suits best, what it offers, and how to organise it as simply as possible.

Who Kobido at home suits particularly well

A Kobido at home can fit many different profiles — there is no single "typical client". But certain situations make this format especially relevant.

New parents with a young baby. When you have an infant a few months old, slipping out for an hour and a half to travel to a studio and back can become hard to organise. A home session lets you keep the baby close — in a corner with a partner, or simply within earshot — while you enjoy your moment of treatment.

People with reduced mobility or in recovery. A recent operation, a leg immobilised, a level of fatigue that makes travel uncomfortable — provided there is no contraindication to receiving facial massage — are all situations where the practitioner coming to you makes a real difference. The treatment stays accessible without a heavy logistical burden.

Very busy schedules. For a senior professional, a managing director, or simply anyone whose week is saturated with work, family and commitments, fitting a session between two appointments at home (while working from home, or at the start of an evening) avoids having to block off half a day for a return journey across Paris.

Preparing for an event at home. A wedding, a ceremony, a reception you are hosting: a Kobido session just before getting ready, in your own surroundings, is an ideal arrangement. No travel stress, no hair to redo afterwards — you move straight from the table to your own preparation.

Those who treasure a deeply relaxing, exclusive experience. For clients who see Kobido as a genuine moment of self-care and want to maximise the relaxation dimension, receiving the session in their own space — without ambient noise, without a return journey, without an abrupt transition back to the street — adds a quality of experience that the studio cannot fully match.

Those discovering Kobido and wanting to test it in comfort. For a first session, some clients prefer not to have to handle "new place, new practitioner" on top of discovering the treatment itself. Home lets you focus entirely on the experience.

Why choose home rather than studio

Beyond the client profile, the home format offers practical advantages the studio cannot match.

First, continuity of environment. You stay home before, during and after the session. No street to cross, no transport to take in the hour that follows the treatment — the very moment when the skin is still reactive and relaxation is at its peak. You can extend the effect by simply staying home, lying down or reading, without an abrupt break.

Second, flexibility of slot. At home, I can offer early-evening sessions (up to 7-8pm depending on the day) that my studio schedule cannot always accommodate. For people in full work mode, that's a real advantage for fitting the treatment in at the end of the day without cutting into work hours.

Third, exclusivity of the slot. At home, the time window is entirely reserved for you, including travel. That exclusivity translates into complete attention, no pressure from a tight schedule, and the possibility of extending the preliminary exchange or the session itself if the situation calls for it.

To understand what this means in terms of pricing, see my article on the price of a Kobido massage in Paris, which details why the home format costs a little more than the studio.

Studio or home: a quick side-by-side

To help you choose between studio and home, here is a concise overview. Both formats are valid depending on what you are hoping for — this is not a ranking, simply two options that match different needs. Choosing between the two comes down to what you are hoping for and what feels most comfortable to you.

Areas covered from my Paris 17 studio

My studio is in the 17th arrondissement of Paris (12 rue Albert Roussel, between Pereire and Porte de Champerret), and I offer the home service across an area where I can guarantee good logistical conditions — reasonable travel time, punctuality, energy preserved for the session itself.

Paris within the boulevard périphérique. I travel across all arrondissements of Paris, with a natural priority for the arrondissements neighbouring or close to the 17th: 16th, 8th, 9th, 18th in particular. I also offer home visits in Paris 16th (Passy, Trocadero) and Paris 8th (Golden Triangle). For more distant arrondissements (the Left Bank in particular), it is still entirely possible but takes a little more planning around the schedule.

Neuilly-sur-Seine (92200). Directly west of the 17th, Neuilly is 5 to 15 minutes from my studio depending on the area. The journey is smooth, and I work there regularly — particularly around Sablons, Saint-James, Bagatelle, and the Pereire-side of Neuilly.

Levallois-Perret (92300). Directly north-west of the 17th (around Porte de Champerret), Levallois is even quicker to reach. It is a practical area for early-evening sessions after work, especially for active women returning from the business district.

For any address beyond this area (Boulogne, Courbevoie, Saint-Cloud, and so on), do get in touch directly: depending on the slot and the situation, I can consider a visit on a case-by-case basis.

On select dates throughout the year, I also see clients in my Milan studio in Navigli, with home visits available in central Milan areas.

How a home session unfolds

The home session follows broadly the same structure as the studio, with a few logistical adjustments. For the general flow of a Kobido session, see also how a Kobido session with me unfolds.

Before the session. At booking, I ask for a few practical details: precise address, entry code if any, floor and lift access, possible contraindications. For contraindications, you can consult my detailed list in Kobido contraindications: what I check first. I arrive with my folding massage table, oils, linen, and a small kit to protect your space (clean table cover, fresh towels).

Setup. I set up the table in the room you have chosen — usually the bedroom, the living room or a spacious study. The setup takes around 5 to 10 minutes: unfolding the table, laying out the linen, organising oils and accessories.

Initial conversation. As at the studio, we take 10 to 15 minutes to talk about what you are hoping for, your areas of tension, and any specific expectations for the session.

The session itself. It lasts 60 minutes (Kobido Signature, the only format available at home), with the same protocol and the same precision in the hands-on work on the facial expression muscles as at the studio. For what you can expect from it, see also the effects of Kobido, area by area.

After the session. You stay home, you can stay lying down for a few more minutes if you wish. I pack up discreetly and leave you to enjoy the relaxation without an abrupt transition.

What to set up at home before the session

No complex preparation is required — the whole point of the home format is to minimise effort. Here are simply a few practical points to make sure the session runs smoothly.

A clear space of roughly 2.5 × 2 metres to host the massage table and let the practitioner move around it. The bedroom is often the ideal spot — warm and quiet — but a living room or spacious study work very well too.

A calm atmosphere as far as possible: if you can, set your phone to silent, let those around know not to disturb during the session, and limit background noise. For new parents, plan if possible for someone to be with the baby or for a nap window.

A comfortable temperature, around 20-21 °C. The client is partially undressed during the session, so a room that is too cool undermines relaxation. Conversely, a room that is too warm can make the oil application uncomfortable.

Water within reach before and after the session — post-Kobido hydration is part of the experience.

A personal towel or dressing gown if you wish, for post-session comfort, even though I provide all the linen needed during the session itself.

Booking and practical organisation

For a home session, I recommend booking 5 to 10 days in advance — this gives me time to organise the logistics and to offer you the slot that fits you best. For peak periods (event preparation, end-of-year, summer), allow a little more lead time.

For how many sessions might serve your goal — single session, course, ongoing maintenance — see how many Kobido sessions you should plan.

What I observe The clients who first tried Kobido at the studio and then switched to home all give me the same feedback: what they hadn't anticipated was the difference in the post-session experience. At the studio, you have to get dressed again, gather your things, head down, take transport — and the relaxation partly evaporates on the way home. At home, you stay exactly where you are, you can lie down longer, read, doze. The session doesn't really end when my hands stop — it continues as long as you want it to. For many, it is that continuity that justifies the moderate surcharge of the home format.

In short

Kobido at home in Paris, Neuilly and Levallois is for anyone who would rather receive the treatment in their own surroundings than travel to a studio — for family, professional or comfort reasons, or simply to preserve the continuity of the experience. It suits new parents, people with reduced mobility, very busy schedules, event preparation at home, or any client who wants to maximise the deeply relaxing, cosseting dimension. The session follows the same protocol as at the studio, with a few simple logistical adjustments and a moderate surcharge. To book, allow 5 to 10 days in advance, and do get in touch to check that your address is within the area I cover.

Frequently asked questions about Kobido at home

Which areas are covered for Kobido at home?

With my studio in the 17th arrondissement of Paris, I offer the home service across all of central Paris (with natural priority for the 16th, 8th, 9th and 18th), in Neuilly-sur-Seine (92200) and Levallois-Perret (92300). For addresses beyond that zone (Boulogne, Courbevoie, Saint-Cloud, etc.), please get in touch directly to discuss a case-by-case visit. Select home visits are also available in central Milan around my Navigli studio.

How much space do I need at home to receive a session?

A clear space of about 2.5 × 2 metres is enough to host the folding massage table and let the practitioner move around it. The bedroom is often the ideal spot, as it is warm and quiet, but a living room or spacious study work very well too. The ideal room is calm, at a comfortable temperature (20-21 °C).

How much time should I plan for a home session overall?

Allow around 1h30 to 2h in total: 5 to 10 minutes for setting up the table, 10 to 15 minutes of preliminary exchange, 60 minutes for the session itself (Kobido Signature, the only format available at home), and a few minutes for packing up. The advantage: that whole time is spent at home, with no round-trip travel on your side.

How far in advance should I book?

I recommend 5 to 10 days in advance for the home format, which gives me time to organise the logistics and offer you the slot that fits best. For peak periods (event preparation, end-of-year, summer), allow a little more time — ideally 2 to 3 weeks.

Is the home Kobido protocol the same as at the studio?

The protocol, session length and precision of the hands-on work are the same as at the studio. I bring everything needed — treatment couch, oils and linen — to recreate suitable working conditions at home. The difference lies in the environment: your home rather than my studio, with the continuity this offers before and after the session.
